I had an amazing stay at this cozy hostel nestled in the beautiful White Mountains! The location was perfect, with easy access to hiking trails and nearby amenities. The dorm room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with fans and an A/C unit. The common areas were spotless and the fully stocked kitchen was a bonus. I loved meeting fellow hikers and exchanging trail stories in the friendly atmosphere. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in providing information about the area. Despite a blackout during my stay, the hostel handled the situation well. I highly recommend Notch for a memorable stay in the White Mountains!

Convenient location near supermarkets, restaurants, and Franconia Notch state park. The spacious dorm room had fans and AC for hot summer months. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Spotless rooms, common areas, and bathrooms. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking.

Lack of private shower in the room. Unpleasant interaction with one of the owners, who appeared disinterested and unfriendly towards non-hiker guests.

Loved the friendly atmosphere and meeting other hikers and travelers. the staff were always available and helpful, making me feel at home. the bunks were comfortable and the common areas were excellent, especially the well-equipped kitchen. the location was convenient for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

The lack of breakfast options. It would have been nice to have a wider variety of choices, such as toast, fruits, cereals, and yogurt.

The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with fluffy towels and provided toiletries. The hostel had a fully stocked kitchen and a nice common area for mingling with other guests. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

The walls were not well insulated, so we could hear noise from the common room late at night. Additionally, there were some mosquitoes in the room that were bothersome during the night.

Great location for outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Spacious kitchen and dining area. Well-maintained yard with patio. Easy switch of reservation dates due to unforeseen circumstances

Limited number of outlets in the rooms. Limited number of bathrooms on the first floor, could cause inconvenience during busy periods

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in New England for a weekend getaway - a charming and cozy spot that surpassed all my expectations. The atmosphere at the Notch was incredibly welcoming, with friendly owners, staff, and fellow guests. I especially loved the Crawford Room, which exuded that quintessential New England charm. The best part? The breathtaking views of the mountains right outside the door, perfect for any outdoor enthusiast like myself. Even when I accidentally left my phone charger behind, Serena went above and beyond to promptly mail it back to me. I can't wait to return to this exceptional hostel and make it my base camp for exploring the White Mountains. I highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and adventurous stay.
